Terms And Conditions

  • Period of Agreement

Payments will be taken on or around 1st, or the 15th of each month by Direct Debit. The contract will run for a period of 12 months and will automatically renew unless a 6 weeks’ notice has been issued prior to the year anniversary. 

The contract will start on either the 1st  or the 15th of the month depending on the date of the initial inspection.

Initial Inspection

House to Home Group will conduct an initial inspection on the following areas of the property:

  • Windows, external doors and frames
  • Flooring
  • Internal doors and frames
  • Stairs and bannisters 
  • Ceilings
  • Coving, beading and skirtings
  • Blinds and curtains
  • Smoke alarms
  • Heat alarms
  • Carbon monoxide alarms
  • Kitchen work surfaces
  • Wall tiles
  • Kitchen cupboards 
  • Kitchen drawers 
  • Kitchen units handles and runners
  • Ovens / cookers
  • Bedroom cupboards 
  • Bedroom drawers
  • Bedroom handles and runners
  • Window restrictors
  • Extractor fans and air vents
  • Loft hatches 
  • Bathrooms
  • Checking for evidence of damp or mould 
  • Checking for evidence of vermin infestation 
  • Boiler
  • Heating and fire places and surrounds
  • Light fixtures and electrical fittings 
  • Internal drains 
  • Waste
  • Front and back gardens

Start Date

The agreement will commence on the date of the written approval of the property inspection and the completion of certifications.

We will inspect both the Gas and the Electrical system is in good working order and if either one or both is not up to the required bodies standards we can:

1. Issue a schedule of works with a costing breakdown

2. Offer an alternative cover

3. Postpone the start date of the cover until the items meet the required standards.  

The cover maybe declined if the required works are not carried out. 

Property Inspections

After the initial Property inspection H2H will conduct a further 2 inspections in a 12-month period.


The Certificates will be completed within 28 Days before the expiry of the date the certificates are  due. 

Value of Works

Gas cover

Once the boiler and the central heating system has been approved the boiler will be maintained up to a point the boiler isn’t economical to repair. 

Maintenance Cover

House to Home will cover all maintenance works included but not limited to electrical, plumbing and blocked drains up to the value of £400.00 per month. You cannot carry over the balance remaining from previous months. House to Home has the right to refuse the any works if foul play is suspected. 

Cancellation of cover

You have the right to cancel your agreement within the first 14 days of your start date as long as no works have been carried out.

You can cancel the cover by issuing 28 days’ notice but if you cancel your cover during the term, you will be charged for any works carried out in the past 2 months minus the 2 previous instalments which have been paid. 

House to Home Group has the right to cancel you cover by issuing 28 days’ notice in writing.


It is your responsibility to ensure that House to Home has access to the property. If no access has been granted on the second visit a call out invoice of £50.00 will be issued. 

Response Times

The full breakdown of our Maintenance Time Schedule can be found on the website or upon request. 

Spare Parts & Repairs

We will endeavour to find the same parts or materials from our suppliers. We may not always be able to replace with a like for like product and therefore an alternative item may be used to complete the required works. 

We cannot guarantee the same colour or decorative match.

Additional Repairs

Although we have listed works we cover, we understand at times strange things happen, due to this, please contact us and we will see if we can still help. But please keep it mindful that we can refuse.

  • All glass
  • Bi-fold doors
  • Powered rails
  • Shutters
  • Past stop cock or the water mains 
  • Sharing external drains 
  • Portable appliance and white goods (except what have already been mentioned)
  • Fabric items 
  • The structure of kitchen cupboards and bedroom units 
  • Outer buildings including conservatory's and extensions. 
  • Jet powered baths / jacuzzi / power showers
  • Work surfaces
  • Loft space (excluding cables placed in loft space) 
  • Surrounding walls and fences 
  • If maintenance advice is not carried out and due to it being not completed, then H2H will have the right to refuse completion of issue. (E.g. if raising damp is evident and it was reported, no action was taken, and it caused a floor board to rot – H2H can refuse work).
